Game Error
This has been happening alot lately to quite a few people. All ya can do is submit the crash report and hope Anet is on top of it.
For me it only happens when playing my mes that I having been leveling to 80. My other characters don’t seem to cause crash.
And you can always submit a suppport ticket with all the info and see what you get as response or help.
Ah ok. I do not know if this happens to my other characters. I go look for that. This is happingen on my Guardian, which i am leveling to 80.
Thanks for the quick reply!
The game crashes due to an out of memory error.
The best way to avoid such crashes would be to change the os to 64 bit and build more ram in your pc.
Meanwhile you should reduce the graphics.

Upgrade to 64-Bit Windows is the only real fix. Else you can maybe play a little longer
between crashes if you set all graphics to minimum.
Its always funny that people have still 32-bit windows and 8 GB Ram even since
only 4 GB is used by the OS.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Running 64 bit and lots of ram(just for clarifcation) and as noted my other old toons don’t cause the crash-(even now they don’t cause a crash)-but when I started to lvl up a new character (a mes) these crashes started (after one of the patchs a few week ago). Anyway, just my experience and a feeling there is more to this problem than just OS/ram (as mentioned) and ony affects my newest character.

Could you post the crashlogs?

Does anyone have a solution for this. I am still having those errors… Doesn’t matter what character i am playing on.

Did you upgrade to 64-Bit Windows and build more ram in your pc?

If your Windows is from Microsoft (not an OEM Version) you can install the 64-Bit
Version with your current key. You can download an ISO from Microsoft for free.

Beldin,
Thanks for the info, I’ll go check it!
Edit – I can’t find it on the official site of microsoft. Do you know where to find it?

or this :

Thanks again.

Beldin,
I was thinking, 1,5 month ago, GW2 had no problem at all running on the same computer. So, upgrading to 64 bit is, in my opinion not the only way to solve it. I am not saying that it won’t work, I am glad that you want to help me.
What I want to say, the errors came a 1,5 month ago and before I had no problems at all.
Maybe there is another way to solve this?
I look forward to your reply.
The only other solution is to prevent the game from reaching the point where
it wants to use more than 1,7 GB of memory .. and that can only be done with
setting all graphics to minimum and maybe even use a lower screen resolution.
Also .. avoid zones / events with a lot of players, since more different armor skins
also would need more memory. And maybe restart the client every now and then.
I know in Age of Conan there was always the mini-map as indicator .. if it turned white
the game would be crashing at the next zoning .. that was by the way the time when
i upgraded to Vista-64 .. in 2008 because of the same problems .

Well, there is another thing you can try. You can set the 3 Gig switch in the boot.ini file.

Again, thanks for the quick responses.
I will try what abomally has suggested. If that don’t work, then I think I have to upgrade my OS.
Cheers!

I realize that this is exactly when it happens.

I have tried this, but it didn’t help. When there are to much players around, I get the error again.
So I have to upgrade to 64bit.
Thanks for the help:)
