Game Keeps Crashing
Im gonna bump my thread in hopes somebody can help me, or point me in the right direction to talk to tech support about the many crash reports iv sent in.
Well, we can’t really see what’s going on cause we can’t see the report.
Can you post it here?
How would I pull up my crash reports iv sent in?
Well here is my crash report.

Though, while talking to people in game it may be crashing because I have firefox with about 40+ tabs, itunes and steam running with the game.
Some issues iv noticed is sound and music taking 10 to 20 seconds to load after I enter a area, invisible monsters in loading areas and people in pink default armor in newly loaded areas. Also may be due to firefox and itunes. Hopefully the error reported posted above (same as all the ones iv sent in) and what iv just stated about what is running with the game can help make a fix for this. If you need my spec on my computer just let me know and ill post them.

Well there are a few problems here.
1) You are running an obsolete operating system. I highly suggest upgrading to Windows 7. Windows Vista consumes WAY too much memory, which is part of your problem.
2) You have only 4GB of memory. If you upgraded to 6GB or even 8GB, I can almost guarantee that this “out of memory” error would go away.
In short, you need a computer upgrade

16gb ram and same prob with those kind of client crashes. So it will not rly fix it.

You need a 64bit operating system to even use 4GB of memory. You’re 32-bit windows system is only really using around 3.2GB. You are memory limited. New OS(must be 64-bit) and some extra ram would go a LONG way.

So what should I now? I didnt have issues like this before. It just recently started happening. It may take awhile fore me to get the money to buy a new OS and some more RAM.
I keep getting this error message, (Code=7:11:3:191:101). Over, and over, I am also getting in game server side lag.

Client keeps randomly crashing lately (when there are many players, loading screen, opening hero panel or whatever else)
It happens atleast once to three times per day.. poping that window to send the report.

So what should I now? I didnt have issues like this before. It just recently started happening. It may take awhile fore me to get the money to buy a new OS and some more RAM.
I recommend freeing up some memory. Firefox with that many tabs open is probably hitting 500 – 600 Meg by itself. Itunes is a RAM hog – last I checked anyway. Your OS alone is probably using 700 – 800 Meg (32 bit Windows 7 uses less). Depending on which antivirus software you are using – there goes another 300 – 500 Meg.
So…I’m estimating roughly 1.7 Gig is in use before even running this game (not counting Itunes AND whatever other programs you have running at startup).
That leaves approximately 1.6 Gig of free RAM to run Guild Wars 2. If your settings are set to high, then you will easily exceed this.
Here are some things you can do:
1. Use MSCONFIG to disable all unneeded startup programs:
http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
2. Switch to a different Antivirus program. ONE reason I use Avast (free) is because it uses the least amount of memory of any AV I’ve tried (around 35 Meg to 50 Meg).
3. Stop using Itunes while playing and close a lot of tabs in Firefox.
4. Lower your graphics settings in the game.
Other than that, your only decent options are to get a 64 bit OS and add more RAM.

My graphics can only go up to medium anyway, iv tired lowering things in the high are like animation but it didnt help. I have closed firefox and itunes while playing and iv noticed these crashes happen still but it takes longer between them. My anti-virus software is Malewarebytes and Microsoft Security. I dont see Malewarebytes on unless I open it, Microsoft Security is though and I dont know how to turn it off, how much memory does that take up?
Regardless alot of people are saying that people with more RAM than me are also experiencing this issues. I dont check the forums often so I dont know how true that is but atleast im not the only one…
I don’t know how much RAM MS Security uses.
See, the thing is, it doesn’t matter (beyond 4 Gig) how much memory you have if your OS is only 32 bit – that’s all a 32 bit operating system can use (some is reserved for system resouces).
On a 32 bit OS, programs are restricted to 2 Gig + the system, which can use up to 2 Gig. Once a program breaks that 2 Gig barrier it will crash with “out of memory”. You can modify the boot.ini file and add the 3 Gig switch; which will change the memory configuration to 1 Gig system + 3 Gig application:

To see your memory usage at any time, just press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager. It will be displayed at the bottom.
