I managed to get going by flushing my DNS
Start > Command Prompt > type
ipconfig /flushdns

So it seems I got as far as the loading screen into the game world. And there it just got stuck.

can reach character selection screen now. If I then select a character that is in LA no Problem, but if I try to select one that sits in Metrica or Caledon Forest I get kicked out because Login Server down Error 19

I was just going to say that it would be nice when ArenaNet would also use their own forum to announce that they know there is a problem and that they are working on it. And not only Twitter (as you did 30 minutes ago). And then you did it

so I can log in but al I keep seeing is an loading screen and can’t enter the world..

No problems after patch or now, on CD world.

Fully works for me now.

That did the trick for me. Seems some network issues on the side of ArenaNet.

My problem was solved by installing ( microsoft .net framework 4 extended )
