Guild Wars 2

Does anyone know why my Guild Wars 2 isn’t displaying special characters in game? I have attached a screenshot to show what I am talking about.

It just shows an “E” where the special character should be. Running Windows 7 64 bit with SP1 on my laptop. Using an NVidia 560M Graphics Card.

No, my language is English, the same language my game is set to.

EDIT: As others have stated, my interface on my lapto kitten et to “Large.” On my desktop it is set to normal and there is no problem.

Glad to see a Dev pick this up – I know you guys are busy! This has been reported in the past here:

At least for some users (including me), it seems limited to the “Large” interface setting; Small, Normal, and Larger (or w/e the really big one is, at work atm) display fine for me. I only get special characters on “Large”; it’s as if that size setting is configured to use a different character set.

Unfortunately I can’t offer a time-frame for when it might have “changed”, as it’s been an issue since I started using the Large interface about 2-3 months ago. It has persisted through patches since then, however.

Edit: Just noticed Kosmo said it happens for him on Normal, so I guess that’s out…

I use the Large interface setting (Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, English) and it’s been like this for me since launch. I’ve somewhat gotten used to ‘?’, but it would be nice if there was a resolution to this, or at least a workaround other than ‘use normal interface’.
