Guild Wars 2

I’ve been having this issue for about 3 weeks now where i log in and play for about 5 minutes or so and my system reboots. There is no error that shows it just reboots the whole system after which it says it was shut down unexpectedly. Once this happens i log back in and can play for countless hours on end with no more crashes.

Another concern is that my load times are almost twice those of my wife’s and we play on identical systems and she has never experienced these issues.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

have you checked the heat ammounts the pc creates while you play? sometimes if pc overheats it can cause it to restart without warning or even shut down.

i had this issue with my videocard overheating before but after the patch i have had issues with overly long load times (august 6th patch) that some reason it takes double the time to load into maps, and just few mins ago whole pc chose to shut down (could be heat related but doubt it as my coolings are fine)

Could be heat related, could be faulty hardware, could be an os snafu, could be an insufficient or failing power supply unit.

If you don’t already have it, could you run this program while you first start gw2 (when you can guarantee a reboot) prior to this reboot and take a screenshot of this program running, then post it here.

Also, please post your complete system specs.

Maybe I am just not seeing it; but, what do you mean by “this program”.

Sounds like Windows is crashing and Automatic restart is on. In Win 7 the setting is in System Properties→Advanced (tab) about half way down. I believe Automatically restart is checked by default.

Or your power supply falters after 5 minutes of load and a power dip reboots the computer.
