Game will crash when launched under Steam

The game runs fine. But when I “add a non-steam game” and run it from my steam library the laucher comes up and updates and I log in, but when I hit “play” it starts the game (black screen) then I get this error:

My other friends are playing it useing the steam overlay.

Are you running both Steam and GW2 as an Admin?
