Gaming Laptop - 1000 Dollar budget
I cannot reccomend a specific laptop..but i can recommned what specs to look out for. The 2 main thigns r CPU and GPU.
CPU, any of the following.
3840QM
3820QM
3740QM
3720QM
3630QM
GPU wise. Mixture of medium & High settings
570m,660m,670m,680m, 7970m
You should be able to get those spec for $1000..but u will be pushing ur budget big time since trying to get both a good CPU AND a good GPU is only possible at the $1000 and above mark.
The main thing is the CPU, be prepaired though.. even the BEST laptop CPU cannot keep GW2 form falling below 30 fps. BUT getting one of the ones above will atleast keep things bairable in the worst situations of WvW. For PVE you should be fine.
TBH though, unless u have absolutly no other choice ..i would spend that $1000 on building a Desktop, becouse u could easily build one that can play GW2 the best that is currently possible atm.
EVGA GTX 780 Classified w/ EK block | XSPC D5 Photon 270 Res/Pump | NexXxos Monsta 240 Rad
CM Storm Stryker case | Seasonic 1000W PSU | Asux Xonar D2X & Logitech Z5500 Sound system |
MSI gamig series with i7 QM version + GTX 660m on borad.
You can also try build You own Alienware but it kinda might cost a bit more.
Basically You want to aim in:
CPU:
i7 ONLY.!!!
Version QM ( CPU with 4 cores or 4 cores/8threads and Turbo boost to 3,4GHZ )
!!!!!!!!!!!!
and for graphic card:
GTX 560m/570m/580m/660m/670m
ati 7850M+
As usual.

It should be fairly easy to get in i7/GTX660M/8GB for ~1000$. Bestbuy even has a Asus 14" (with i5 Model: G46VW-BHI5N43) for 999$.
I cut my gaming teeth on Adventure&ZorkI,II,III.
i7-2600K/8G/GTX570SLI/WIN7/Stereoscopic_3D
Lenovo Y500 is worth to take a look at has two graphic adapters with SLI
You’ve best bet for a mid-level GPU at the $1k mark is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834310662
GPU wise. Mixture of medium & High settings
570m,660m,670m,680m, 7970m
and for graphic card:
GTX 560m/570m/580m/660m/670m
ati 7850M+
The OP is going to be very hard pressed to find most of those in the $1k budget. The $600 to $1k range is comprised of mostly 635, 640, 550, 650, etc., not x60, x70, or x80 range cards. A 650M is already hitting $900 and the only one I found with a 660M at $1k or less is a Lenovo.
You should be able to get those spec for $1000..but u will be pushing ur budget big time since trying to get both a good CPU AND a good GPU is only possible at the $1000 and above mark.
Ditto. The best advice here is to go desktop if your budget is $1k for a gaming system.
