Guild Wars 2

After playing for about an hour I lose all game sound and a pulsating sound occurs. the first time it happened, it crashed the game with in a minute. The game sent an error report.

the second time it pulsated to a point where i couldnt deal with it and shutdown the game.

this started with the latest patch. i have had no complaints since release.

Yes I also have this problem. It seems linking to having to many people in the area as it only happens to me when I am surrounded by people…

It Happens in WvW and at the Shatter and at Jormag….

Those are the three places I can think of off the top of my head it has occured

yeah i was farming karma in cursed shore when this occurred both times

I’ve heard that changing the sound settings from ‘Highest’ to ‘High’ (or at least not ‘Highest’) solves this problem.

I have done so and haven’t encountered it again as yet.

Which setting exactly would that be? When I encounterd that problem, changing the sliders did ‘restart’ the pulse, but not actually fix it

i remember changing that setting about a week ago but never encountered an issue until now. when i get home ill try to knock it back down to the original setting to see if that helps.

I’ve had the same problem aswell. It always happens for me during events in Orr, or during the Jormag fight. Client will sometimes lock up aswell. I also know of at least 1 of my friends that’ve experienced this aswell.

This is happening to me as well. This only started happening after I switched to Windows 8. I will try to lower my sound quality this evening and see if that helps.
