I have a pre-built HP Compaq 8300 Elite Convertible Minitower.

These are the specs:
Intel i7 processor w/ HD accelerator 4000 gpu
Intel q77 express chipset
320W power supply
8 gb RAM
Windows 7 x64

For the expansion slots:
1 full-height PCIe x1
2 full-height PCIe x16

With this information, of if you need more.. what kind of graphics card am I looking for to run the game from medium to high settings? I think that I’ll need to switch out my power supply, but idk.

Thanks!

I looked at the specs listed on the HP site and it looks good for a prebuilt. You will most likely need a new PSU to run a GPU for GW2.
You should look at getting a GTX660ti or higher(the GTX670 is a good price/performance card) or an AMD 7850(the7950 being good price/performance)
The PSU will depend on which card you like(or is within your budget). With any PSU make sure you get at least 80+bronze and from a reliable manufacturer such as Corsair or XFX.
Hope that helps a bit.

You will need a new PSU, around the 500 to 600W mark.

GPU wise ether a 7870XT/LE or a 660ti would be a good choice.

Nvidia is releasing their 7xx series next month. Look into it tge new 780 is the titan lite and the 770 is the old 680 refresh. Waiting to see how the prices adjust over the next 2 months then ill go for 2 titans or 3-4 titans lites (780s)

Well i would normal advise people to wait for the 700 series, the 760ti will likely be out of the OP’s price bracket, hence my sugestion.

I am personaly waiting on the 780 aswell ether that or if the Titan comes down in price to say £700 (its currently £800) i may get a Titan..but i doubt it wil ldorp in price that much after the 780 comes out. I can afford a Titan now, but i hate being ripped off, so i refuse to buy one for that price.

There is supposedly the titan “ultra” coming out so the titan might actually see a price drop. I wouldn’t mind the 780s but I wanna upgrade my 3 screens this year to 3 of those overlord 1440p, 100+hz, ips monitors I think titans serve best for that. Also the 760 ti should be a good card since its the 670 refresh.

Unless your running high rez, multiple screens or your coding I really don’t see my reason to have the titan. There aren’t too many games out that need that much power, but they are still super cool lol.
I was interested in the Titan lite. Looks like I might have to sell my 680 :O

The Titan LE is apparently just the codename for the 780 ..which will have a release name of 780. that is if the latest news about the may release date is true.
the 780 (codename Titan LE) is a cut down GTX Titan.

Titan Ultra .lol ..the price for the original Titan was criminal lol ..now they r bringing somthing out faster and no doubt even more expensive. What kind of apocalyptic moron would u have to be to let urself be ripped off that much.

meh what ever. £700 is the max ill spend on a single GPU from a moral standpoint ..so whether it be a Titan or a 780 ..ill be getting a great upgrade :P

Yeah, the Titan LE intrigued me when I heard about it, but then I heard it was the GTX 780 and was less excited. This also got me thinking though. The Titan launched not too long ago at a price of about 1,000 USD. Now a few months later the GTX 780 (Titan LE) comes out and its speculated to be half or a little more than half the price of the Titan for much more than half the performance of the original Titan.

Marketing strikes; give a graphics card a cool name, instead of GTX 685 and people will come.
