Graphics problem in-game

Also, this is a laptop, correct? (I’m assuming based off of your Intel® HD Graphics).

Hi Archangel Roy – Could you please attach a Game Advisor report or a DxDiag so we could look into this a little further?
I am having the same issue when I load the client and ingame. I can get to the character select screen and that ooks fine, but my client and ingame graphics are messed up. I have attached my dxdiag.

Funny, my son just purchased and installed the game and is having the same issue. dx diag attached. Laptop, maybe video card just can’t handle it, which would stink. Have to have super-computer to play game? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In your case, your graphics card IS failing…it’s only a matter of time. The HP DV series is known for this issue. In fact, I have a DV7 in the junk pile that the onboard (AMD) graphics have completely failed. The customer didn’t want to buy a new motherboard and I can’t say I blame them.
If you are under warranty with HP I recommend that you get it in for service asap.
Well to let you guys know about the graphics problem. I just spent 900$ on a new laptop to play this game. My old one was around 550$ with onboard graphics which could only handle this game at 5 Frames per second on low settings. My new one has a pci Nvidia in it with Windows 8 and can run it on max settings at 30 Fps.
As I understand a laptop just isn’t meant to play Gw2. My card is 2GB Btw so i’m not sure what the issue is. If you do want to play and don’t have a higher graphic card you should try to save up for a desktop.
