Guild Wars 2

Okay, I got the game from the online download,First time I downloaded it It ran great got to play a bit made my first character for the game logged out went to sleep happy.
Went to school the next day and got home ready to play some and I got the error ‘Guild wars 2 game client has stopped working’ dug around a bit restarted the computer nothing, So I uninstalled ( I had to delete the file from programs to uninstall, It would not even let me uninstall it from the programs list ) reinstalled it last night, installed fine no errors. so I left it at that. Went to school came home, ‘Guild wars 2 game client has stopped working’ ….. Again, I’m now seeking help from people smarter than I am. Any one have any Ideas why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

When I ask it to check for a solution It comes back with a problem signature.

any Ideas, Im out. Once again for me to uninstall Ill have to delete the folder.

Find the Guild Wars Application Program.
Right Click and select Properties.
Hit the Compatibility Tab.
Check run as administrator (even if you log as an admin this must be checked).

Only do this if GW2 is in Program Files\ or Program Files (x86)\. It should be completely unnecessary otherwise.

Try some of my suggestions there (ignoring the ones that clearly don’t apply, natch).

0xc0000005 means that GW2 is trying to access memory it doesn’t own, or trying to access an object that was unloaded from memory. This (usually) happens when either a) one of the DLLs it depends upon is bad or b) one of the DLLs it depends upon is giving it memory addresses it doesn’t recognise.

Hey RvLeshrav! I am having the EXACT same problem as this guy and i have done absolutely everything i could think of find on the internet… Its really annoying! Ive even tried your steps but nothing works Is there anyway or anything you could think of to help?

Tried re-downloading the GW2.EXE and replacing your existing one?

You can also try a -verify and a -repair.

After that, not much left but re-downloading the whole client.

I have been having the same problem also, nothing seems to be working. I have tried what is suggested above, and I also tried to update my video driver, re-installing the whole client, everything…. Nothing is working, and I still get a pop-up every time I try to open the game. Or I get a pop-up from Gw2.exe telling me something is seriously wrong, and I don’t know what to do.

Any updates on this matter?

well, I dont know if this is working for anyoneelse. I just thought id post it since i read about some memory issuses.

I had the same problem with error 0000000005. I just ran the “CC cleaner” and now the exe is working again.

I have recently started having the same issue, I submitted a ticket 2 days ago but so far have received nothing. And I recently purchased a gem card which is now completely useless as i cant even access the game.
