My main problem with the game was that i was getting 20-40fps, and I knew I should’ve gotten a bit more for my rig.

I have a AMD FX 6100 cpu, which at the time wasn’t Over Clocked.
Turning up my multipliers to 23.5 ( originally 3.3 ghz ) brought my processor up to 4.7ghz
also brought my power up to 1.425v

FX lines are mostly BE, meaning they are meant to be overclocked..and can keep great temps with just standard cooling fans and what not. Me on the other hand i have a Corsair H60 watercooler and never see above room temps no matter what I’m loading.

To skip all the details…..i now manage ANYWHERE (including WvWvW & World Events ) a 60-61fps (v-sync on due to refresh of monitor and the human eye cant see above 60fps anyways, limits the tearing of the screen )

So, if you have any sort of Black edition or FX cpus…if you feel safe enough i recommend you looking into a “How To” on over clocking your processor.

It has completely fixed my FPS issues…

I really hope this helps some of you out on the FPS issue..

PS. I do have 16gig of 1866 ram…my ram wasn’t reading properly until i actually OC’d the processor on a 990fx Sabertooth Mobo it was reading at 1333, so it was clocked down…just some things i’ve fooled around with.

Oh by the way…im running with Highest settings…everything turned on, including shadows and reflections, AA…all of that...1920×1080.

GPU 2 sli’d EVGA gtx 580’s
Memory : 16 gig Kingston 1866

just an old school 500 gig HDD until my corsair ssd comes back from the shop…

PS: The human eye doesn’t see in FPS LMAO! Is a matter of fact, the human eye can easily distinguish the difference between 60 and 120fps.

What’s also funny is, mine stomps his & I still get FPS dips. So I think a little exaggerating is happening.

ok, first off I was attempting to help anyone with the same build or one similar. secondly if ur build is so much better why are you getting “dips”? imtrying to help those with the problems I had. not to feed u children b.s. to toss around and use it to speak down to someone…i posted my specs, and exactly the steps I took to better my game play…and sry I cant tell any dif between 60 and 1xx fps….im not here to argue im trying to help

Yeah, nobody is getting 60 FPS in WvW.
This is kind of an obvious thing to do, especially for an mmo. CPU overclocks do wonders.

Anyhow, this won’t solve issues for people who are using hardware that just isn’t supported well at this point.

My score in 3DMark is 14600~15000 (depending if you want to fluff it unrealistic OCs). But this game just refuses to run well.

I’m completely aware that bulldozer isn’t a great, by any means, processor. It’s not news to anyone…but im working with what i got..and what i got was a huge increase in performance… I posted this to help people who have a similar build as me and who haven’t attempted to OC..not to be bashed because people want to compare a Intel to AMD…i see no other reason why i should post anything about helping people when everyone tries to nay say or just be completely immature about anything anyone is trying to do. maybe next time ill just say..hey i fixed my problem…screw you all..just sayin kids..

Yeah kitten haters. Maybe not everyone can afford intel so intead of flaming him about his cpu why dont u buy him a new one? His post was meant to encourage those with similar cpu to overclock because he saw a huge performance increase. So if u dont have a AMD cpu then gtfo and go find something better to do with ur life.

we can perceive a minimum of 200fps

pretty sad that this community is filled with immature a-holes.
