I know that some people have very low fps or constantly 60fps but I was wondering if it’s a good thing that I have 100+ fps most of the time. I have 1 monitor at a default rate (60hz). My gpu load is 100% sometimes but stays at 75C at full load. I just hope there’s no problem with my system.

My specs: i5 3570k
HD 7970 3gb
ram 8gb
corsair 700w

There is really no point running 60FPS+, you get screen tearing and that just FPS shuttering because it doesn’t sync with your screen. + without vsync, you’re asking to heat up your GPU.

Even my system can boast 400FPS on low settings, I would still turn on Vsync cap at 60FPS.

What Dj said. >60fps = screen tearing/jerkyness/un-necessary load/stuttering on GPU unless you’ve got a 120hz screen.

It’s the 3rd dropdown in the graphics settings ‘Frame Limiter – 30/60/Unlimited’

I dont use the frame limiter myself, i use Vsync as i am running a 1080p res. with 50hz. so v sycn keeps it at 50.

Hmmm Truth hurts does it not?

75*c is fine for your graphics card, if it was your CPU at those temps then that would be to hot.

If your refresh rate is 60hz turn vsync on tbh.

Even with a 120Hz monitor, there will still be stuttering, when vsync isn´t enabled, but the occurrences will just be less frequently.

Just keep in mind when you do turn on vsync, there will most likely be more or less an increased input lag (even with triple buffering).
