Guild Wars 2

I am using between 5gb-6gb ram for gw2 even in less populated areas. Although my gameplay is generally unaffected, the fact that so much of my ram is being used is worrying. I have read that most people only use up to 4gb of ram to play gw2. Should I reinstall my game or is there away to reduce the ram usage?

Could u attach a screen-shot of your taskmanger or so?

Because gw2.exe is a 32bit program, so it can’t use more than 3 Gb unflagged and 4 GB if it is flagged.
So 4 GB should be the absolute maximum.

The maximums i more or less 3.5 GB .. somewhere above that GW2 will crash because of an out of memory error.

That is not possible. GW2 is a 32bit application, and can only see a max of 4GB of ram. With system overhead and what not the reality is GW2 can only run in 3.25GB of ram.

So if GW2 is pulling 5GB-6GB of ram you might have a infection that is launching when you run applications (Not related to GW2 in particular, just in general) You might wanna scan your system for infections, verify with Resource monitor that GW2.exe is actually using as much ram as you are saying…ect.
