Higher fps?
Your system may be a bit to slow for this game.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
That sounds about right krkleiman. A low end laptop doesn’t agree with this game.
RIP City of Heroes
Well shoot, looks like I’ll just have to deal with it. Anybody have any tips on how to maximize framerates for low end computers for GW2?
Also slightly off topic, does anybody have an idea how this would run borderlands 2? I want to buy it, but I’m not sure how well my laptop could run it. If it isn’t going to run well I will just buy it on xbox 360 instead.
maximizing frame rate for low end laptop: Auto detect settings Or Best Performance option.
Also the option of the Borderlands 2… just buy it for the X360.
Hello all,
I just bought GW2 a couple weeks ago. The framerates I have been getting have been bearable, but they seem like they could be higher. I get about 15-20 fps in small battles during PvE. My question is, does it seem like I could be getting a higher framerate? and what could I do to help?My specs:
Lenovo IdeaPad Z585
Windows 8 64 bit
AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon HD graphics (4 cpus)~1.9 GHz
4 GB RAMAnything I’m missing?
Thank you in advance.
You should post the ingame settings you use.
Also using the commandline parameter “-forwardrenderer” may improve some performance, but instead will reduce/remove some shadows.
Right click on your Guild Wars 2 shortcut and select ‘Properties’.
In the ‘Target Area’ field you will see the location of your Guild Wars 2 executable file:
…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe
Write the command -forwardrenderer behind it like this.
“…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -forwardrenderer
I have my ingame settings set to lowest with the frame limiter at 60 and my resolution at 1366×768. After using forwardrender and the XP windows service pack 3 my FPS increased so I’m at about 25-30 fps in small battles instead of 15-20. Thank you all!
