Hey guys,
So after trying every single fix under the sun, I FINALLY fixed my black screen issue.

Turns out my router was causing it all along! I have a Netgear D6300, I googled ‘netgear gw2’ and found a bunch of threads with people that had the same router as me.

Now, to fix the black screen issue, follow these steps:

1. Log into router (type 192.168.0.1 into browser)
2. Log in with username and password (default pass is easily googled)
3. Go to Advanced tab > Setup > WAN Setup and tick ‘Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection
4. Press apply and the router will reboot.

Viola! That fixed my problem, I hope it helps you guys too!

Leave a quick reply if this fixed your issue so that Arenanet can shed some light on the problem

Thanks guys,
~Anthrax

That is a very interesting find. Does your Netgear router have any Logs that show those Filters being Hit when you get your crash? If so I would very much like to see them.
