I just couldn’t handle it anymore. I had no problems with my FPS or something, just very very very much crashes (each 30/45 minutes). After a few weeks I turned my graphics from High to Very Low, but the crashes kept coming every hour or so.
Well i could get used to that, but unfortunately the game looks like crap on Very Low settings.

Now I get stupid mails about helloween and so, and I think: Is that where my money went? To a game that doesn’t work for me, and you’re not even trying to fix it? It gets me really angry..

Please stop sending me stupid e-mails, and work on the stupid crashes. You may only send me a mail with: “Hi everyone, the game is finally working after a few months, have fun!”

This looks very frustrating, I am quite sure it would be your ISP’s fault.

Maybe you could ask Anet GW2 tech support. I’m sure they would agree.

they’d most definitely agree, then you ask them for what possible proof you could provide them to prove it’s their fault as you can get over 10mb/s on those ports with any other application and get silence as a response. I mean it’s just a coincidence that it’s peaking around halloween when more people are logging on right? It’s not that they’re too cheap to rent enough servers to handle the load that would be crazy talk.

I totaly understand this.
Since buying the game, I haven’t been able to play (1 week now) because of the black sreen crashes.

I thought I bought the best game of this year but it seems that it is the biggest waste of money.

And AN is still silence on this issue.

How can you blame this on arenanet while thousands of people are playing atm ? Something is obviously wrong with Your pc,The game is working fine,i haven’t crashed once.You should try to figure out whats the culprit and fix it instead of putting the blame on Arenanet,wich is the easiest thing to do…. since your pc is probably super leetzors ultra high end and can run bf3 with ultra settings etc….

If you are getting the black screen crashes even on the lowest settings then it is either your machine spec and or an unstable net connection.

I was getting black screen crashes, so I lowered settings to there worst, then slowly worked my way up through them, then I set a slightly lower screen resolution now all seems fine, I am happy.

My specs are

2.66GHz Quad – Core Intel
6Gb Mem
Graphics card ATI Radeon HD4870

Lol I know that many companies like to cut costs (a beef plant from a major beef company even took the FDA to court because they had the audacity to try shutting them down for their E-coli beef) but too many things client side have too much obvious potential for abuse, and the people who work on these games not only went to school and training for their respective specializations, but have years of experience with these things.

In other words, Anet knew people would teleport hack and such, simple mathematics tells you that at least some people will, most especially if they make it easier for them to, yet the decided to let our machines bear more of the burden just to save them costs.

The problem is probably occurring on thousand of users. I have a GTX card and hear a lot of trouble from other users. But anyway my pc isn’t “super leetzors ultrate high end” but I can run most of the modern games on high settings, without crashes.

i don’t think the crashes have anything to do with my inter provider… It’s mostly a return to desktop (i send hundreds of those crash reports) or a total crash. I also don’t experience frame rate drops.

Btw, in the beta I have maybe crashed a few times, but that’s it. The real problems begin after launch.

I was sort of joking about the ISP thing, but not really. They blame ISP’s for all the issues, based on the pingplotter test (which seems very inaccurate as i play the game fine with the test showing 100% packet loss)
