Its not the GPU but rather the drivers that I found causing that issue. For AMD (I dont run nvidia anymore) you had to kill the CCC.exe to get past that error. I would try that with the nview manager as well.

What Video card is in the system you are doing the install on?
if its ATI, locate and find CCC.exe in the task manager and end task on it.
If this gets the spash screen past where it downloads the few KB then stops, you must then reboot and update your video drivers.

Its Nvidia GTS 770 if im not mistaken. Cos its a friend of mine. One of the latest and should be quite good.

Thanks problem seems sovled. Must have been the GPU drivers. The guy at the shop told my friend that it was up to date and he didnt check for updates.
