Hello!

I need information about a graphics card: Guild Wars 2 works with Intel H67 express chipset? Is it better than an Intel G41 express chipset?

Not sure what you are asking about here since they work with two entirely different families of CPUs. The H67 works with the Sandy Bridge based core I3/i5/i7-2xxx desktop CPU and the G41 works with the Core 2 desktop CPU.

If you are asking about integrated graphics, the H67 doesn’t have the GPU, the Sandy Bridge CPU does (note their are a few models where this isn’t true) while the G41 does have a GPU, a very poor one even back when it first came out.

If you asr asking about discrete graphic card support, again the PCIe interface for a single graphics card is on the Sandy Bridge CPU and not on the H67 while the PCIe interface is on the G41 for the Core 2.

The long and the short of it is the G41 is what’s called a northbridge chipset, connecting the CPU to the graphics card bus, memory, an integrated GPU and the southbridge chipset. The H67 is essentially a southbridge chipset as what was found in the northbridge chipset migrated to the CPU.

You should be looking at a Z77 or Z87 Chipset atm if ur looking for a new rig.
Only look at Z series, they allow OCing which is bassicaly free performance.

GPU wise u wanna look at dedicated cards like a Nvida GTX 760 or AMD R9 280/280×.
or as low as a 7870XT or GTX 660.

As for ur question. H67 is better than G41. They are 2 totaly different chipsets though so i can only asume u are looking for a new rig, in which case i stick to my above statements..look for a Z77 or Z87 (LGA 1155, LGA 1150) rig.

Likely yes but it will still be poor. Intel HD Graphics 3000 is still very low end graphics.

GW2 will likely not allow u to run it on a system with just a HD2000 integrated GPU, lower end LGA 1155 CPu like the i5 2400 run this iGPU.
Minimum requirments are a HD3000 which comes with the higher end LGA 1155/1150 CPU like the i5 2500k.
Even with a HD3000 GW2 will run like a pig.

But we still need to know more about his Dad’s computer he’s getting as a hand me down before we can start shooting off suggestions beyond a low end, low power video card. The HD 6570 still uses 45 watts.

The updated version of HD3000, HD 4000 can do this game at medium and considering intel processor, it’ll run it acceptably well in PVE
