Is my spec outdated?
Of course it could be better but it’s not half bad. I’d say you’d do decently with that in low-med quality. Overheating can be fixed with other methods than switching your laptop, if you wish to save money and you have no problem running in low-med quality we can guide you a bit thru cleaning your computer from the inside to decrease the temps.

Thanks for the reply m8.
So the thing is, my computer from time to time IS struggling with the fps on low settings, I never have anything set to medium unless Native instead of subsamble counts!
I do from time to time clean the fans with compressed air just to dust it off, although i’ve never done anything else in particulair to clean it. i’ve never taken a laptop apart so cleaning it from the inside might be a risk, i don’t know to be honest.
A sample review of your Aspire 5755G says that the laptop can come with a Nvidia GT 630M.
If yours not does have this GPU you are stuck using the HD3000 Sandy Bridge iGPU. and that will be the main factor in your low FPS.
If yours has the GT630M you need to update your drivers. There have been alot of FPS improvements for games such as GW2 since the release of your notebook (about when the reference driver was created). You will need a modded driver for the notebook for it to work with release drivers, laptopvideo2go.com is a good place to get modded Nvidia Drivers.
If yours does not, and you are willing to do a little foot work, you can local and find a motherboard on Ebay for your Aspire 5755G that has the Nvidia 630M GPU and replace the MB to get the discrete graphics to improve your FPS performance.
