Getting to boiling point now… Considering all im trying to do at the moment is complete jumping puzzles and explorers achievements that require timing of dodges skills and general combat ability having 2-20 second lag on abilities and movement (sometimes not even registering my movement server-side, ie showing me i’ve moved but getting attacked by mobs way back despite running away; like GW1 used to when you sometimes got “blocked” by mobs).

Combine this with a multitude of disconnections in-between all this and you have for one very fed up player.

At first i was under the impression that it was my own internet issue and networking problems but with those cleared and assured to be trivial the only other cause was yours. After consulting some guildies who have also been experiencing the same issues, and reading the forums with similar threads i come to add to your headache. Please fix this promptly as in not just next patch not just when you plan too…

…I keep seeing “fed up with this, logging off for the day” mesages on guild chat and i for one am almost there myself. This is a hot-fix patch kinda jobby, and i can already hope and assume your finest men are already on it.

Culling patch coming and they are testing the servers. It is probably that coupled with packet loss. It should be fixed sometime tomorrow(I hope).

Same thing here, at first I was getting disconnects, checked my own internet, but later realized that all over the place people were complaining about the same thing, both in the guild and the Pavillion map chat (Underworld server). Pavillion was virtually unplayable, I just kept getting killed in places that seem to have no enemies around, and when i logged in again i ported to a place with tons of enemies… Don’t get me wrong, I can understand that a big patch is underway and they need the resources for testing, but some heads-up would be appreciated, even if it means taking the game down. So far the only information I’ve seen about this is a twitter post that is 6 hours old now that says: “We are aware of the lag issues and are looking into them. Thanks for your patience. ~RB2 #GW2”.

I’ve been getting the same thing since yesterday. I saw the daily needed a pavilion run and simply skipped it since it’s all I can do to swap weapons and activate ONE skill much of the time, nevermind trying to dodge swarms of vets in there. I’ve heard many others on mapchat commenting on lag as well.

As with others, I thought it had to do with my ISP/hardware. After a thorough check, I’ve ruled them out. (SSD, GTX 670, haven’t changed drivers in a month) All I can assume now is it’s something on the game’s end that’s causing this.

Thanks for the twitter paste, Charons. I’d really like to not hit some outside site to get updates from game staff, as an aside. So yes, please to fix. I’d like to not be a dweeb and rifle everything because I can’t dodge for the life of me on warrior.

I find it deeply disturbing that Anet posts most of their responses about their game in social media sites and the like and NOT on their own official forum. Am I missing something here?

I’m the same boat. I don’t use Twitter and Facebook. If they want to avoid flooding the forums, they should announce it here.
