Lag since last patch.
I’m a monitor freak too, do you watch your upload and download rates to make sure they are within the norms for what you are doing on your computer?

No, but every other game runs just fine. This is exclusively in Guild Wars.
I have been dealing with the same issue since the update yesterday. It’s been getting even worse since the update today. Today, the game has been nearly unplayable for me, and it’s highly frustrating.
This has been happening to me as well since yesterday. I log in, no abilities will work, I can’t talk to anyone or move between waypoints, then thirty seconds later I get disconnected. My connection and ping are fine, everything else is working perfectly.
Hit me hard today. Cant do anything, no dungeons, no pvp, no wvw, no pve, nothing!
Sounds like network latency but if your reaching Anet’s servers without any packet loss then it might be your system.
Maybe try to delete the local.dat file and see if that helps.

Can confirm since a few days ago I’ve had lag when in dungeons/fractals. it got so bad I cant play. 1 second pauses every few seconds, its so annoying.
Never had lag problems like this before, had the same problem just in a fractal, had to leave the group which I hate doing, it was for there own good.
went to pingtest.net, my internet was grade A with 0% packet loss, 14ms ping and 1% jitter. Basically perfect, I run the test several times and no problems.
Something has changed in one of the past few patches. please fix asap.
PS. for me im only getting this in instances, not in normal world.
I’ve been having a lot of lag since patch. My router isn’t showing any packet loss information. Where should I be tracing or pinging to check packet loss?
Cheers,
Mark.
I’m also encountering random lag spikes since last week (never had this before) making it unplayable when it happens.
No packet loss, 18ms ping and 60mbit download on speedtest, the game runs constantly on 45 ~ 60 fps.
Been playing on the same PC since launch with no video card or Windows updates since mid-May, but just today my FPS has stayed so low that the game is practically unplayable.
It fluctuates between 2-12 fps when I usually get over 24 with no problem. I play just about every day after work to relax, so I definitely noticed the change right away. I hope this issue can be resolved in another patch soon. There’s been some speculation of a memory leak now?
I’ve noticed that too since today’s patch. I thought is was my internet connection problem so I tested with other online games but they run just fine. There’s like 0.5 sec ~ 1 sec delay.. which makes this game unplayable
The lag wasn’t really effecting me since a few days ago. On the first login of the day, everything seems ok, and can play fine for 2 hours. Then I logout and close GW2, but leaving PC running. After 1 hour, I log back in, then suffer terrible lag. Perhaps something is crippling in the background, and a PC reboot is required? It’s just weird.
