This has been going on for a while... I’m not sure exactly when, but I think it was when the last build came out.

Having issues with being able to login; and once in, issues getting DC’d.

The DC’s always happen during a loading screen, without exception. Entering an instance; using a WP, w/e. If there’s a loading screen involved, there’s a good chance a DC will follow.

Most of the error windows say it has something to do with a firewall or router... my firewall is currently OFF, and I am using a router at the moment, but I’ve tried plugging directly into the modem and the problem persists, so that’s not it either.

I started logging these yesterday afternoon; I’ll add more here as they occur.

*Upon login, had an in-game error message: "The waypoint you selected has become contested and you may have been redirected to the closest friendly waypoint." (Still in the same location I was prior to the DC - not at a waypoint) ...pretty sure WP’s in capitol cities cannot become contested. -_-

i know this wont help ya, just wanna let you know youre not the only one with these issues though, my brother has the same crap going on.

Yea I suspect a lot of people are having the same issues... since they started when the newest build came out, and because I know its not a firewall/router issue, I don’t think it’s a problem on my end, but with the server.

Still though, I’d like to be able to play the game without these interruptions.

I mentioned in the OP that I would continue to log the problems as I have been, but since it seems to be the same problem happening over and over I don’t think that’ll do much good, so I don’t think I’m gonna bother unless specifically requested to by a red.

Got DC’d today from normal gameplay (not during a loading screen). First time that’s happened... not sure if related.

This has been happening to me as well since the new patch in early January, and the most recent patch has failed to fix the issue. I am getting really irritated with this and they need to do something about it.

I’m still having this issue and it is really starting to kill the game for me. Most of the time it is when I am porting somewhere else or when I am logging in to a character. I am getting SO sick of it and if tomorrow’s update doesn’t fix it I might just quit altogether!

Update: Now it is just more frequent and now I can’t really play because I just keep getting d/ced over and over and over! I am seriously begging for this to be fixed! There was a party waiting for me to port so we could all go into AC but every time I try to port I just disconnect. I’m really getting fed up with this issue.

I’ve had ANet tell me their servers are ALWAYS right, so even if you’re 99.999% positive it’s on their end, they’ll still say it’s a problem with YOUR connection…. Too bad there’s only so much you can do with troubleshooting your internet until you run out of options/patience.

As someone already said, I’m hoping tomorrow’s patch might change some things, but for me the game is literally unplayable right now and I don’t know what else to do besides leave altogether.

Well, the update has not fixed the issue. This has been going on for nearly a month… Come on!
