Hi, since i bought this game im only having issues with the low Fps..

I Reïnstalled my (Gaming)laptop because the hard disk was full anyway! after that, i expected it the fps would raise, but no, everything is still the same, except if i’am alone, i have around 10-25 fps.. but in battles im having a huge drop, having around 5-10 fps.. and i tried low quality options too, even turning off the sound, although idk if its necessary,

If anyone could help me out, i appreciate it!

be as specific as you can .. main hardware being.
CPU exact model
GPU exact model
RAM how much of it DDR2 or DDR3
What Operating System you are using.

without that though ..the 1st thing that pops to mind is " oh ..another laptop user wanting good performance not realizing he/she would need a £1200+ laptop to do it" ..sounds harsh but thats what happens :P

if you want Guild Wars 2 to be portable, we have to install it onto our brain. :LOL
until then, a desktop is recommended.
laptop is not meant to be use as net gaming.

make sure your laptop is set to high performance. and specs please as maybe even that wont help.

until you list system specs etc any advice will be just vague or general tips.

I will come up with the specs soon in the afternoon, because i have school first xD anyhow, another friend told me too, that a desktop is better than a laptop, im not really planning to buy it, because i know there must be a way too play the game with acceptable fps, but if it true that i need a desktop, then yea, i gotta get some money xDDD

You may not need as much money as you expect ..specialy if your going by laptop prices. You can get a better performing Desktop for less than a lower performing laptop.

Alright, i followed https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/FPS-GPU-CPU-Performance-issues-FAQ/first#post542540, it helped a little bit, now if i am alone, i get around 31 fps, but if i i go into battle then ofcourse it drops to 5-10 fps..

So here are my specs:

Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P7350 @2.00Ghz 2.00 Ghz
Ram: 4,00 GB
Windows 7 Home Premium
Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTS CUDA 1GB

…I cant find the GPU/CPU…i looked up everywhere but i just cant find it..

Ok bassicaly. You computer is overal lto slow.

The Intel C2D cpu is old and rather slow at 2ghz and wil lstruggle greatly with GW2 when other peopel are around.
The Nvidia 9800 GPU is also rather old but should be bale ot handle low/medium settings.
You main issue. .what is causing your slow downs.. is your CPU ..its to out dated.

Try overclocking if you can. I have a Core2 Q6600 overclocked to 3.2GHZ and I am able to get 40-60fps in PVE. 15-30fps in cities/events/WvWvW

I would really advice against TC overclocking, it’s a laptop and as such tend to run hot as it is. Otherwise you’re right.

I could try that overclocking, but this is my last step, otherwise i just going to plan making a new desktop with better specs etc, it doesn’t really matter to me to the quality, just the perfomance thats all im asking for.. i will keep you guys updated about the overclocking…

Ok, i didnt do the overclocking, because i heard its way too overheating my laptop..and i dont feel like crashing it too, so i quess i need a new desktop =/

but now! i was playing, i had suddenly good fps, no lag etc, but after 10 minutes my fps drops, its just that everytime i leave my laptop off, my computer runs good, but then later suddenly, fps drop to 8…so i really dont know whats going on right now..

That sounds like heat issue. CPU and/or GPU throttles down when it gets too hot.

Yup it is Kirito, everytime i start up the game after cooling down my laptop, its running very fine, but after 10 minutes its lagging and my laptop is way too overheating..so i quess my laptop is good with the fps, but it just cant handle more fps
