First off, I am running the mac client. About two days ago the update dropped and I was brought back to the log in screen to download it. Once the download was complete I pressed “login” and then “play” but it took me to a blank white screen where it sits and nothing else loads. Occasionally it will come up with an error message and say that it has sent the issue to ArenaNet to see if they can diagnose the problem. I unistalled the client and then reinstalled but with no luck. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and been able to quick fix it at all. Attached is a screen grab of what the screen looks like when I press “play.”

Thanks in advance!

Try posting at the MAC section, since most of us here are PC users and we are not familiar with OS

I was having the same problem and I just solved it that way:

“I would suggest opening Finder and navigating to your user folder>>Hold down Alt/Option and click Go in your menu bar>>Library(it will only show if you hold alt – if you use OS 10.8)>> Application Support>>In here there should be a folder called Guild Wars 2, make a copy of it on your desktop, just in case, and then delete it from the folder.
Run GW2 again and it will rebuild this folder.”

Don’t worry, no need to download the full client again! It will take some seconds for a quick update and GW2 will start.
Let me know if you solve your problem too!

Brilliant! It worked like a charm. Much appreciated.
