Guild Wars 2

So im getting an Ins-ta-crash every time i click PLAY. And when i -windowed the short cut the FPS in the game is in the upper to lower teen’s (7-18fps). I play planetside 2/rift and a handful of 2013 released single player pc games. On average im around 65-120+FPS on ultra settings. Then i come to Guild wars 2 which is not all that graphically technical, and my fps gets shot in the foot. The game is totally unplayable, even on VERY LOW i get 24fps… Not to mention when i do play in windowed mode, i cant go into full screen windowed or it will crash.. stuck to a little box to play gw2.. Really??

My system is:
fx-8350 @ 5.1ghz
amd 7950 3gigs @ 1200 (cc)
8gb 1600 ddr3 Ram
250GB SSD for games
120GB SSD for OS
3TB HDD for everything els
1 Samsung 22" 2ms monitor
1 POS monitor for Pandora ext…

I know the duel monitor’s is whats giving me this error, Along with the fact that i am a AMD fan, i should have just as much support for duel monitors as the guy next to me with nvida

with my specs i should be running GW2 on MAX at 60+FPS no problem. Yet because the game is ran off of a sun dial engine i suffer.

But anyways, has anyone had this problem and found a solution for it? i just ran out of “Give a craps” To keeps screwing with it.

what version of windows are you running?

This sounds like a windows thing to me too. Do you update windows?

How often do you run reg cleaners?

I used to have a amd rig way older than yours and i got semi normal (normal for GW2) FPS.

Try the game without the overclock. I would be very surprised if that chip is capable of running over 5 Ghz while being rock solid stable.

It can, but requires really good Water Cooling :-)

But your probably right on the money with this one. 5ghz+ on Air really isnt possible with out a few hardened tricks.
