Mobile system requirements
Technical Support
Hi there! I’m not sure what you mean by a translation of the game’s system requirements for laptop users. The requirements are the same for both laptops and desktops. Are you concerned about whether or not a certain aspect of your hardware meets the minimum requirements? If this is the case, please share your system specs so we can give you an answer!

I am pretty sure they mean how model numbers etc are not the same on a laptop, like a 7970m is nothing like a 7970 desktop part, same with CPU’s etc, this can be confusing to people buying computers.
I am not at home and am on my phone, so I will get back on later and post some info that might help you making a choice, however, my first bit of advice would be to get a desktop if there is anyway to do so, if you get a laptop just to get one, you will always be let down with the performance vs a desktop in the same price range.

Seems to have been pretty good for me in the past.
A dual-core is a dual-core on either laptops or desktops. Typically laptops have lower frequencies to make up for the lower power requirement and heat generation problems.
My rule of thumb for graphics on laptops for Guild Wars 2 is:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7670M.69483.0.html
Then, search the page for your card on the right-hand side. If it’s listed physically above Intel’s HD 3000 graphics you’re most likely in the green. If it is just below Intel’s HD 3000, then I would give it a coin toss on whether it actually would work or not.
As for the processor, I’ve seen sub 2.0Ghz C2D processors work (1.86 worked for me). It should also be pointed out that Intel dual-core 2.0Ghz != AMD dual-core 2.0Ghz. To be on the safe side though, if you’re looking at Intel, follow their minimum specification, if you’re looking at AMD, shoot for a slightly faster frequency (not bashing AMD here, its just a fact that Guild Wars 2 loves higher frequency and AMD’s single thread performance is worse than Intel’s).

Requirment for GW2 on a laptop ?
Hope u have deep pockets.
CPU: 3630QM/4700MQ or higher Mobile CPU, or LGA 2011 desktop CPU
GPU:660m/7970m or better
RAM 8GB
OS: Window 7 or 8 64bit
Example: Sager NP9570 / Clevo P570WM
GW2 hammers laptop CPU’s hard. and becouse laptop CPU’s cant run at max turbo on all cores u end up running at a slower turbo than is advertised. Say for example it say a CPU will turbo up to 3.7ghz, hat they actually mean is it will turbo up tothat on 1 core, but when all 4 cores are in use u will likely get 3.3ghz or some such.
You also tend ot run into heat issues on cheap laptops, so u need to ake sure the laptop u get is designed to stay cool when under high load.
