Mouse programming no longer works
I have had a similar, but not identical problem twice in about the past week – my mouse bindings just “go away”. By “go away”, I mean the extra keys on my logitech mouse with two extra buttons (mouse 4 and mouse 5) no longer function. In the UI, they appear to be bound (in my case, to jump and dodge); but they do nothing when pressed.
Workaround is to simply rebind them, and they mysteriously work fine. unfortunately, the first time this happened was right as we were running up to a group event, and the second was as I engaged a champion solo. Really bad timing! They’d been working perfectly for an hour or more prior to both events.
NO idea why they just suddenly lose their assignment while running.

Seems to be a common problem with allot of programmable setups, I have the same problem from time to time with my KB (G110) and mouse (G600), and I have to alt+tab out and back in for it to “remember” the bindings, sucks pretty bad when you are in a fight with someone in WvW and all of a sudden you don’t have a heal skill or dodge.
I’ve actually had no problems whatsoever for about a year with my G600, it’s been working flawlessly for me. The only difference I see is that I only do all of my skill commands via the mouse (weapon skills, utilities, elite, profession skills) excluding healing skill, and handle all other commands via keyboard (Q for healing, E for evade). Reckon it could be those commands that bugger things up for you?
Le edit: Also, Tink, what version of the Logitech Gaming Software do you use? I think 8.40 is the most recent.
If you are allergic to these ingredients, do not consume.
8.46 is the latest and they already know of the problem.
Update on this issue:
After the final update to Last Stand at Southsun, my mouse programming began working again. However, after today’s updates for Dragon Bash, they are once again no longer functional.
I am confused as to what would cause this, especially since it occurs immediately after updates, and is an on-again-off-again problem. If someone from Arenanet could kindly offer up some information, it would be genuinely appreciated.
“but if I would set a button on the mouse to mimic a key press two or three times in rapid succession”
Not sure if that is actually allowed in any game….
It is also not allowed to use a third party program when playing GW2
You can to the bindings directly ingame if you need it.
