My computer cant handle gwt properly!
Well if you could atleast read some of the low fps flood posts and saw people with high end machines having trouble you would understand that there was a problem with the game… So no you cant run the game at 60fps on full with its current state and there is nothing you can do about it except for waiting Anet to fix/improve the engine.
Hey guys ! i have a small problem… my computer is pretty good and ive uppdated all drivers but i cant still use the full settings… my Cpu is Amd Gigabyte 7850 AMD FX-4100 4-Core Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 8GB CL9 a pretty good not awesome but should take all games att full! any help would be awesome
btw i Fps 300 at wow why can’t i atleast fps 60 whit all at full!
Thanks! – Aded
Because wow runs on a completely different engine and looks like crap compared to gw2.
If you haven’t yet, try installing the windows 7 patches for Bulldozer CPU’s: http://www.techpowerup.com/158534/New-Windows-7-Bulldozer-Patches-Available..html
They may improve the minimum performance of the game by improving the utilization of the bulldozer architecture.
WoW is a really old game with much more basic graphics technology and an engine with far less fancy features, so the performance will be a lot higher since you’re running it on hardware that is severely overpowered compared to the hardware the game was originally designed for – it’s the same reason most old games run really well on newer hardware.
However depending on what your minimum performance is in GW2 you might be able to improve it a bit. Your CPU isn’t fantastic (it’s a budget model and slower clock-for-clock than any of the newer intel processors), so it may throttle your 7850 somewhat, but it shouldn’t tank as bad as say, a core2duo CPU. You might also want to take a look at some of the other “high specs, low fps” threads out there, as some of them may contain workarounds to improve performance.

Eh, the game struggles on some setups but to say that no one can achieve 60FPS is flat our wrong.
I’m sailing past that at the moment with everything on bar AA.
i7 2600K
GTX670
It’s a brand new game and, shock horror, to play it on max you need high end hardware.
There’s still some people struggling on low and medium settings when they shouldn’t, and this will doubtlessly be fixed in time through driver updates and game patches.
Well I have an AMD 6 core processor running at 3.4Ghz with a respectable Nvidia GTX480 graphics card, yet I only get around 25-30FPS in many areas even when my GPU usage is often less than 50% + my CPU usage is less than 50% too with some cores almost idle. I get a smooth experience on high settings, but this machine should do it easily when it only just manages it. Some people however with lower spec machines seem to get better performance which doesn’t really make sense and it’s not my PC as I get good performance in other games. I have to say however that I’m impressed when there’s loads of players all using abilities in one area, it’s the first MMO that I’ve played where I haven’t noticed slow down.
Try to update your driver. If normal ones do not work, try the modified ones.
Use always clean install.
