My game crashes and crashes, I have sent the report to Anet, and even asked for help but noone wrote me back and noone has been able to fix this. I have had this problem since the recent updates from about 3 months ago. I have been playing the game for 1 year and I did not have the problem before.
Here is the report:
This would be a Tech Support issue, and if you post in that sub-forum, they will be able to help you. =)
Do technical support even read these forums? Comon my games is unplayable crashing every 10 minutes. What else do you want me to attach? 1 million dollars to get your kitten moving?
I’m really getting frustrated with the lack of support from Arenanet. At least with WoW there was in game ticket which got help even if waiting days/hours for response. So many people with same problems with crashes and freezes.

Did you submit a Tech Support ticket to Customer Support? If you do, they will help you one on one. Good luck.

Not really. Tech Support forums are more for community support.

I know this isn’t really helpful at all, but I know GW2 doesn’t crash at all for me.
Firstly, run a -repair
Next, verify drivers and Windows are fully up-to-date.
- You should be using drivers from the actual GPU vendor, not Windows Update, or the computer OEM (in other words, if you have an AMD card, get drivers from AMD, not Acer); there’s rare situations where this is not ideal
- Run Windows Update, multiple times after updating until it finds no updates
Next, do a chkdsk (run “chkdsk C: /F /R /spotfix /offlinescanandfix” without quotes from an Administrative Command Prompt and reboot). This will take a long time depending on HDD size, so I’d do it overnight
Should probably do a memory test too (a Linux LiveCD or a LiveCD of memtest86+ would work fine).

Here is the report:
Your error log indicates you have corrupted game files. As said above run a repair command on the GW2 launcher. To do so add -repair to the target box in the shortcuts properties page. Then run the launcher. It will verify and re-download any files that are erronous.

Hi Hitman – I took a look at your crash logs and it looks like you’ve got some CRC errors and so I’d recommend running a Disk Check and follow that with a repair of the game client. Additionally and unfortunately I can’t see the driver date in the reports that you’ve sent, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to update those if it’s been a while for you.

The 320.49 nvidia driver is unstable. Reports are that it crashes a lot and causes BSODs

Hi thanks for the reply, been ill recently so not been on here for a while. I reinstalled windows 8 and undated all drivers, gpu drivers from the Nvidia site, windows updates etc. Done diskchecks. Ran stress tests for my gpu and cpu, reinstalled GW2. Ran mem tests too. Also had msi afterburner running to see if any probs with overheating which there arn’t.
So far had one crash this week. That error report, ‘’a serious error has occured that prevernts the program from continuing to run’’
has occured fairly randomly in the past, e.g after environment sound is stuck on loop or when changing graphics in game to ‘auto detect.’
Thanks, Cath
I put my money on a faulty stick of ram. It can take 20+ tests with memtest86 to find a problem with memory.

You said in another thread that you run the game from an external HDD, could the cable be a source of your problems maybe, im guessing its connecting via USB….
