Hello, I’m looking to buy a decent laptop that can run GW2. I am willing to spend up to but not amount over $799 USD. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’ve looked into AMD laptops, the processors are slow but they do have AMD Radeon 8610 HD graphics chips. On the Intel side, the processors are fast but they have integrated intel HD chips. Can anyone recommend a good laptop in my price range?

I am not rich and do not want to spend a lot of money on alienware. This computer is for school but I want to be able to somewhat run GW2. Thank you in advance.

Customize it to use the i7 + 840M

And look for the 30% HP rebate and that brings the laptop down to about 649 before taxes (Free Shipping if you were to buy this from amazon and use prime)

For about 700~ I have not really found a better hardware setup for 1366×768 and medium graphics with brand new hardware.

If you went with a refurb you can get a dv6t-6100 with a HD6770M and spend 350-450 and That will also do about as well (if not 20% better in some areas) then that 15t above.

Desktop: 4790k@4.6ghz-1.25v, AMD 295×2, 32GB 1866CL10 RAM, 850Evo 500GB SSD
Laptop: M6600 – 2720QM, AMD HD6970M, 32GB 1600CL9 RAM, Arc100 480GB SSD

Something like this is a better bang for your buck. I have this laptop with an I5 and dual graphics cards and it whoops up on GW2 with no problem.

System: I5 3570k@ 4.4 ~ 7970 X-fire ~ 32GB DDR3 ~ 2×120gb SSD ~ 2×2tb storage drives

Way to read the OP’s post.

He does not want to spend a dime over 799.

that laptop is going for 849, its out of his budget by 50 bucks.

That is why I gave him an option thats new at 649~ and one thats used at 350-400

And he wants to use it for school, so a SLI is not an option as it will drain his battery very fast. Unless they have the optimus tech in them. Also, SLI is not optimized in a lot of games.

Thank you very much. I got the 17t(bigger screen) for $734 (USD) really good deal to me. I got it with an i7 4510 dual core processor with NVIDIA GeForce 840M, 12 GB RAM with 1TB of hard drive space. Thank you again for your help!
