New nVidia driver - 306.97 WHQL
Can somebody tell me if theres any issues with these drivers? I keep seeing other posts on other forums saying these stutter for the 600 series
Was reading the release notes. Looks like they finally added Guild Wars 2 Sli profile. Maybe this driver will help a bunch of people that have multiple nvidia cards now.

Just installed with single gtx 670. It’s working okay, didn’t notice a de- or increase in fps.
(In PvE I usually run a Vsynched 60 fps. My cpu is a 1st gen. i7 930 slightly oc-ed. More specs: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Nvidia-GTX-670-Graphics-Reflections-performance/first#post236836)

@Dixa you’re right. I used the find feature and found where they added support for sli in guild wars 2 but that was in release 304. Silly me. Then there are no improvements for gw2 in this release?

I get weird stuttering with those on GTX 690 + Windows 7 64bit. Did a clean install as always.
After downgrading back to the 306.63 I had installed earlier and the stuttering is gone.
updated my GTX580 to 306.97 and now i got steady 60FPS :D (35-50FPS before)
yeah i know, not noticeable by the human eye anyways, but that’s a nice buffer for more populated areas, also, no matter at which framerate your game runs, if it’s online add/subtract 20 frames to it
i had to set the shadow-effects down to "high" after the update, because on "ultra", the camera stutters when moving it around but i can live with that :3
maybe i can get rid of it when messing around at the nvidia-cp a little bit, but now, i’m too lazy to test out different settings

With my 560Ti, I see almost no improvement- maybe 2 fps at best. However it just seems much smoother in some heavy graphical spots of the game, which is good for me. I’ll give it a go in some heavy WvW fights tonight.

Installed 306.89 yesterday (r306_41-12), no difference on any of my machines. They’ve reused release notes since r300, not a lot of relevant info since 306.23. SLI has worked in GW2 for me since the betas.

The problem seems to go away or at least I don’t notice it anymore when disabling multi-GPU mode. I wonder what has changed since 306.23 or 306.63 as those were giving me fantastic performance.
Can’t hurt to attach a current -diag file I guess.
EDIT:
When enabling vsync, instead of adaptive vsync or leaving it off, the issue also seems to go away.
Also the game client crashes each time when I exit to desktop with those drivers installed.

306.79 QUADRO/TESLA, because has same performance of latest beta but the image quality is higher.(some notice it,some not, depends on your eyes and monitor).

So I’m hearing mixed reports from people. Some claim this gives them a very noticable FPS gain, others claim they see no difference in FPS but do feel a ‘stuttering’ in movement. Could more people tell us what they notice?
As it so happens, I installed the previous driver only a few days ago and I’m noticing a ‘stuttering’ there aswell, however, I wasn’t sure if it was the driver or the game patch causing it.

Got noticeable annoying stuttering on my GTX 580 with 306.97 (clean install of course)… Using 306.23 for now. Will report bug to NVIDIA.

Got a 10-15 fps increase from before setting shaders to high before they did nothing. Game seems smoother also. I was standing in lions arc was getting 30fps. When swiching to shaders from low to high fps went to 45fps high and 30 fps low did it in several areas and noticed an increase every time.

Been through this countless times, its complete garbage. there is no iq difference on quadro drivers since quadro and geforce use completely seperate code paths regardless of build differences between the 2.
Will there ever be optimizations for this game?

I doubt it they are just waiting for everyone to go out and buy new computers then the problem will just go away.
There has been SLI profile for GW2 for a long time.
You guys need to understand that until ArenaNET forks over tons of money to Nvidia, GW2 will never benefit from Nvidia cards as it should.
Nividia is for First Person Shooter games
ATI/AMD is for MMORPG
Don’t believe me? Look at all the games Nvidia supports like a new child needing a diaper change. They ONLY care about FPS games, period.

I had some improvement with these drivers, possibly.
But I also disabled Cool n’ Quiet and CPU prefetching in my BIOS, so could just be that.
My CPU was throttled back to 2.5Ghz under max load. So could just have been that wich added to my FPS.
Didn’t experience any stuttering or other problems on my GTX 650 anyways.
