New rig and its performance questions
Could of saved $100 and got a 3570K and I question the amount of memory you have 18GB?
If you overclock your processor to 4.4/4.5 or so you can expect nothing less than 30 FPS in massive zergs,
16 GB ram + 2 GB of ram on the vid card ? otherwise it makes no sense whatsoever indeed :p and yes, i5 3570k is just as good for gaming as i7 3770k and saves enough cash for a cooling system that allows 4.5 ghz comfortably.
Camping a keep near you since 2001 !
Since its already on its way its not much point saying get the 3570k. And tbh a 3770K is just fine if u have the cash for it
You will need to OC that cpu to around 4.5ghz, do that and u can expect to never drop below 30 fps even in the biggest of WvW battles…asuming u use the correct grpahics settings for the GPU u have. (so no reflections on all or supersampling). Most the game should see 60fps all the time except for said WvW battles

im waiting for my new comp parts to be shipped and im curious as to how much performance ill get out of it. Im wanting to be able to play and never lag no matter how massive the fight and record at the same time if i can. Will i get that out of my new rig? Also will high settings graphics be possible or no?
specs: Gpu- GeForce 660 ti , CPU- i7 3770k 3.4 ghz (3.9 turbo), RAM 18 gigs
Look at this thread to get an idea.

On the bright side since he has a i7 instead of i5 he can do more background tasks like maybe encode his awesome gw2 gaming video caps. =]
