Quite a while ago now (possibly even a month ago) my Norn character got stuck on the Snowden Drifts loading screen. It wasn’t when I went in the zone for the first time, I did part of my personal story there. But when I’ve tried to log into my character since, it never loads past the loading screen, and closing the game gives me an error report. I did post this as a support ticket, and they did get back to me, but I’m a bit worried to do what they suggested. It seemed like a lot of uninstalling to fix it…
From support ticket: "The intent here is to allow Driver Fusion to scan your PC for left over drivers from previous installations. These left over files can often cause issues with rendering 3D applications, even if you have installed the most recent drivers revision. "
Is this a general suggestion they give to anyone with technical difficulties or is this tailored to my situation?
Anyone else had this issue? Will I ever get my Norn back?

When you click “Show Details,” what information is provided?
Another option is to right click on “My Computer/Computer” (assuming you use Windows) > Manage > Event Viewer > System
Look for any critical errors (red) which occurred at the same time you attempted to log in and perform a web search for that error or post it here and someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for your response. The details are rather long winded but I attatched a text file showing what it says. I’ve googled for error c0000005, and I found the following information:
And there were no red errors in the event viewer thingy.

At a glance, it seems the issue is with the game itself, which leads me to believe some of the files on your system may be corrupt. Try using the repair tool (https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8981/~/the-guild-wars-2-client).
A quick search indicates others experienced this same issue just days before launch and that ANet was investigating it. I could not find whether or not a solution was established.
If the repair does not work, try a reinstall of GW2 and see if you continue to get the error.
