*RESOLVED* Patch dropped fps, 100+ to 35
Update to the issue.
Running everything on low will not change the FPS, it is still running at 35-39fps MAX. My CPU utilization is less than 5% with LOW settings.
I have created a support ticket for this issue, no answer yet though.
In the mean time I tested with other games and everything is working correctly like earlier. No driver updates done, so I assume it is the new patch that is doing this..

I have the exact same issue. 60 fps to about 24-30 fps. Constant skill lag of about a quarter to half a second. This makes some of the new content unplayable, and pvp and WvW unplayable as well.
Same issue here, large FPS drop.
Update on this thread:
I’ve sent Game Advisor reports to support with/without services and GPU-z screenshot. After I get home today from work, I’ll need to provide more data to support.

Check your settings.
The patch reset my graphic settings to highest possible. I had to lower it all back down for my four year old 295GTX to play normally.

Hi!
This is not the issue, my fps is the same whether I run the game at the lowest settings or the highest.
Patch changed something in the code and how CPU gets utilized. The 5% utilization only (in any core) is the issue.

The patch did indeed reset the graphics settings to the highest possible, and it seems it resets to random graphics settings for me on each startup (successful one mind, it crashes on startup almost always). I found that the “Depth Blur” setting is on even though the checkbox is unchecked, so I had to check it and uncheck it again to remove it.
But I agree with the OP, something was tinkered with that made the game feel like melted cheese instead of the race car it was before.

Hi!
Can you share your computer specs? I’m trying to map the variables in CPUs, that are having this issue!
I think everybody knows this isn’t affecting every single player right now.
Thanks,

I will update this, but they need some more info/data from my PC using some software. When I get home (soon), I’ll provide it to them and then we will see what they have to say about the issue.
No matter what happens, I will update this thread every max. 12hours.
Don’t lose hope,

Hi everybody!
This issue has resolved now for me atleast.
No visible fix provided or reason for this issue. I downloaded a new patch (very small) and BAM, everything is working now..
Looks like Anet did “something”..
I will still ask for a reason or if Anet did something in that small “hotfix” patch.
