By now we all know how demanding GW2 is on system hardware. To help people get a better feel of how well their system should perform or what components they should upgrade/buy. Post your FPS and System Spec here
Follow this format, just post your specs and nothing else. For discussion/troubleshooting etc there are other threads for that.

In WvWvW have to turn down some settings to get “playable” frames in large fights. :p
Worst performance is in WvWvW and in cities, so:
LA: 30 minimum to 150+
WvWvW: 15 minimum to 100+ (terrible / nearly unplayable for me)
And the screens from LA (halloween and before halloween) and from Heart of Mists (bridge):

I don’t see the point. What would be more interesting is to pick specific graphic settings, and have people compare how the exact same graphics settings perform on different hardware.

Yes, you are absolutely right.
We have to test with same settings: Best Appearance (and maybe on Best Performance too).

Purpose of this thread isn’t to benchmark GW2 for different system configuration in controlled std conditions. Doing so is time consuming and complex with many variables to coordinate. Rather this gives people a rough sense of what to expect for their current hardware or might buy/upgrade of what actual people are using.
Keep it simple and clutter free. Don’t want this thread to sideline into a debate/discussion on methodology. Make another thread if need be.

I get anywhere from 25-100 fps. 90% of the time I get 30-60, the 25 and 100 are outliers. The Halloween events, like redesigned lions arch, a few crowded places at some of the ghost locations are when my fps dips slightly below 30. I haven’t played too much wvw but my fps has been fine the few times I have. PVE, about 40-60.

i am using the CP settings recommended by A-Net
driver version 306.97 (beta driver 310.33 gives me overheating/low vcore crashes...)
installed on SSD - kept clean
resolution @ 1960x1080p - fullscreen
visuals/aero-peek completely disabled when launching GW2.exe
the usual repair stuff didn’t change anything
did network checks and tweaks
did a clean start to see if anything slows GW2 down
*NOTE:*
i got steady 60FPS whenever i was at the time driver version 306.97 was released
then i was inactive for about 3 weeks and now this mess of framerates
so if the above poster is telling the truth...should i spend over 1500 bucks to being able to play this single game flawlessly?
i can play all my other games perfect on "extreme" (dx11) with no problems...and i will be able to play the next gen games too at max settings, because they won’t change that much the next years...just compare a 2 year old game with the latest/next month one’s...almost identical system requirements
TL;DR
even if i OC my GPU’s core to 1000mhz, my CPU to 4Ghz and my RAM @1666Mhz i still don’t get any changes of performance...well 1~3FPS i think, though...

You just fight in WvWvW at the start place with some birds and cats?
Some players write correct numbers, but many people misinform others here. (too)
This topic is a joke now. (In this form.)

If you didn’t notice it, he has GTX 680 SLI. I get about 2/3 of his FPS with my single 680.

Read more tech topics and you will know that VGA / SLI matters nearly nothing in WvWvW. :p
My friend (with same CPU) get the same fps with nvidia 250 GTS against my 670 GTX SLI in WvWvW. :p

Ok well, then we are both wrong. GW2 is indeed CPU intensive then :P
Anyone with the new AMD piledrivers have results?

Hardware @ sig.
1440×900 Resolution – Windowed mode (waiting for some money to replace this crappy monitor <.<)
Game settings: everything maxed except render sampling @ native because it hurts a bit when recording random things in crowded places, other than during recording it’s really smooth even with supersample.
I have V-sync and fps limited at 60 to keep my card cooler, not to mention that this monitor only supports 60 refresh rate…
City: 40-60 (LA is usually around 40-45 when it is crowded)
PvE: 45-60 (45 during big events like the shatterer, otherwise 60)
PvP: 45-60 (usually it doesn’t go down from 60)
WvWvW: Didn’t spend that much time there, but it was pretty decent, around 50 average.
I guess if I didn’t had the fps limited I would see 80-100+ fps pretty often since I recall seeing that kind of fps the first couple of days I spent in this game before limiting them.
