Guild Wars 2

Since the recent updates, I get random blackscreen at the aquatic ruins fractal final boss which completely freezes my laptop and forces me to force shut down. It is getting really annoying since I’ll always miss the chest, and making the fractal run longer than what it should be. I started getting this random blackscreen about 2-3 weeks ago, and it has been reoccurring since. I get about 70+ fps (like I normally do) on highest settings before and during the boss fight.
Unlike most posts on the forums, I use an AMD graphics card, and here are by basic specs (all drivers are up to date):
Windows 7 Ult 64bit with service pack 1
Intel i7 3820QM
16GB RAM
AMD 7970M
*let me know you if you other specs, I’m doing this from my memory
Also, should I ask the support team as well? or this is enough (I already reported this issue in game)

Have you tried a -repair on the gw2.dat file? If not, I would follow this to try and see if a repair on the game’s data will fix your problem:

I know its from the original game’s wiki, but the principle is the same. The switch you are looking for is -reapir.
