Hello everyone, I just bought GW2 about 3 days ago, and the game ran fine on the first day, I had all of my settings maxed out and the game ran on 33-35fps the entire time I played even in highly populated areas. However the next day I log on with only 5fps!!! I log out and wait a while and im back to my normal frame rate, and now its back down to 5 fps when I logged on today. I don’t know what’s causing this lag is it on my side or the game? And is there a solution, maybe changing servers?

FPS=Frames Per Second.That means that you see “photos” of the game,and not really seeing it rolling normally
Lag= chat,skill or anything else delaying to get your command

If it’s FPS,it’s probably your problem,since i hv e everything on medium and running with 50fps stably (playing with options may fix this problem)
If it’s lag,it’s a known problem that Arenanet tries to fix for about a year now

Hi Arexeum – There’s a number of different things that could contribute to this kind of issue so the first thing we’d need from you is more info. System specs to start would be great. This could also potentially (key word, potentially) also be an issue with hardware or even just drivers. In order to troubleshoot the issue with you could you please provide a little bit more info? A DxDiag or a Game Advisor report attached to the thread would be the most helpful
