The “remember password” function doesn’t work from day one. I got my copy of GW2 client from my buddy, copied it off his external drive. I figured that it’s no problem as it helps keeping my account safe, but lately I feel quite annoyed (my password is quite long, and my ISP’s nature forces me to authorize login every time).

I tried to use the -repair command line for a different problem, but it certainly didn’t fix it. Quick google search reveals it seems to work for most people. Anything I can do to rectify this problem? Short of re-downloading the whole client? Because I don’t want to redownload the whole client

Dont remember it…It’s being stored on your pc somewhere.You do not want someone to find it.Just remember your password and put it in manually each time to be safe.

As much as I don’t want people to find, it’s a huge pain in the hindquarters to input the password everytime coupled with email authentication. I don’t care about security at this point, I know the risk, I just want a feature to work fine on my machine. Besides, if someone managed to get my machine, they can install a keyloagger and then remember password will be THE lifesaver

Ahhh, I’m not the only one with this problem?
Support couldn’t really help me either, maybe it has something to do with the password length? My password is over 20 characters long, support told me only 13 characters were possible…
and yes, having to type all that every login is a royal pain in the kitten

My passwords are 18 and 17 characters exactly, and I have had this problem from the very beginning
