Q:
SLI scaling = nonexistent
A:
Odd, which driver set and which cards are you using? Are you sure they are a matched set with matched clock settings?
Outside of my #1 slot card always tracking 10-15 degrees hotter than the bottom card they track fairly evening as far as load goes.
BTW: Any SLI “issues” is a Nvidia problem, not an GW2/Anet problem.
Nvidia have stated that they have done as much as they can to make GW2 run well on their cards, the rest is up to ArenaNet, who seem in no hurry whatsoever to optimize their game at all. It’s a mess atm.

Latest drivers from nvidia, two GTX 580’s from the same manufacturer, same model.
may have to reinstall the driver or make a custom profile.
and anet have broken both cf and sli profiles a few times, not sure how but….they have….its why I run a custom profile using radeon pro…..may not be optimal but its far better then worrying each patch to the client will break something.

It sounds like your SLI config is set to have one card be PHYSX.
I’d goto the NCP and SLI page and reset to defaut settings as well as the GW2 listing in the Nvidia control panel and ‘enable defaults’ and ‘apply settings’ to save.

Thanks I’ll give it a shot Marko. I’ll let you know if it works or not.
Can’t believe how bad the graphics engine is in this game. hybrid CPU/GPU rendering? Who thought that was a good idea.

would this affect anything? I had no idea that PhysX was even being used in GW2.
In the SLI configuration screen there are a number of options (off the top of my head), the PHYSX can be set to ‘AUTO’, ‘USE CPU’ , ‘USE GPU1’ or ‘USE GPU2’.
If your config is set to ether of the ‘USE GPU’ settings – Physx is all that GPU will do. If that setting had been changed from ‘auto’ it might explain why your GPU’s are not scaling.
The only two other possible causes (I can think of) is if you’d used the 3rd party application ‘nvidia inspector’ to change the nvidia default values/settings for the game or that your 2nd card is in a PCIEx4 slot – however you’d see this ‘scaling issue’ with all your games.
Nvidia has a SLI specific forum which could provide more information as this is not a GW2 issue.
