I’m having the same difficulties as last week, it starts to download but after a a while the updater speeds turns to 0 and stays there.

Last week after 4 days of trying to update I finally went to a friend’s house and copy the game and just then could play… this is getting really frustrating, come on every week we’ll have to experience the same issues?

Also unable to download here. Message Body length must at least be 15.

Do you run AVG? If so, right click it in the taskbar and disable for 5 mins. Then restart the client and see if it updates.

Worked for me, sorry if you don’t run AVG of it doesn’t work for you.
You could always tray changing the Target for the GW2 Execute ( under properties ) and add ‘-clientport 80’ (without the " ’ "s) to attempt it.

I had this problem as well, with the download being stuck on 25MB with no further progress.

Executing the client with -clientport 80 to finish downloading the patch DOES fix the problem. The odd thing is, when I did it, the remaining file that I needed to download was only a couple of MBs, no where near the 25MB that I was stuck on.

Game stopped updating for me as well, at 25mb on the last file remaining. I’ve tried changing my DNS with google’s public DNS, running it with -clientport 80, turning anti-virus off, resetting my internet connection and clearing DNScache.
This has happened previously in the recent patches and I haven’t changed anything with my software/drivers/hardware setups.

Just saw OP saying they left it there for awhile before trying again, so I guess that is the only thing left for me to do… This is frustrating to say the least.

Same error here… As soon as the updater hits 25MB, the DL speed bursts to 10MB/s then drops to 0KB.

I have tried reinstalling the game through GW2Setup.exe to no avail.

My Anitvirus / AntiSpam is disabled.

Edit: I even used an old gw2.exe file to encounter the same issue.

Guess i will have to wait and see what happens
