Everything is as low as possible except rendering. I really dont want have to switch to sub sample. Much rather keep it on native
Yeah, I think you probably should be getting better results as well…

lets start investigating. Forget the fact that the movie is from last year and the game was a vastly different monster back then. Also disregard the processor difference.
A solid place to test would be in less crowded areas for now. This eliminates the CPU being the culprit of the problem. If you’re doing dynamic events and WvW battles and getting 25-30 FPS, you’re doing better than everyone else.
As always, first thing to check is drivers, make sure they’re up-to-date for your GPU.
Another thing to check is heating issues, lets make sure your CPU and GPU aren’t overheating while playing games. If you don’t already have software that monitors your GPU and CPU, then I recommend getting HWMonitor, which can be found here:
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.23-setup.exe
Make sure to check your temperatures after a few minutes of playing the game.

What is wrong are your expectations.
Your laptop sucks for gaming. Both the CPU and GPU are sub-par for gaming.

I’d list your old specifications and maybe we can get a better idea. I’m going to assume your older system ran at a significantly worse resolution as well, thus making the better hardware seem worse.

So on this 635M, what settings are you running on (low/med/high/mixed).
The 525M is only a hop and a skip worse than the 635M, neither being gaming graphics cards. I’m sure the i5 helps quite a bit in the CPU bound scenarios, a half a gigahertz at the low frequencies laptops run at is nice and the addition of the two pseudo cores should for sure help. I fear you’re running the laptop at too high graphical settings than the 635M can handle. This is a laptop after all, not gaming grade either (if you consider such unicorns exist).

Microsoft Windows 8I recently purchased this laptop hoping for a slightly better option for gaming on the go. I have all power settings turned to max but i still feel something isnt right. Im barely getting 25-30 fps. My old computer that was 4 years old performed better. Not just GW2 though. Simple games like league of legends are barely reaching 60 fps. Does anyone know what might be wrong. Or maybe nothing is wrong and i have a seriosu bottleneck somewhere? Any help would be much appreciated.
Not sure if your laptop has switchable graphics settings or not but make sure GW2 is running off the GE Force GT 635M and not some intel on board graphics.
Settings for that would be right click desk top and “configure switchable graphics”
