Is there anything special I need to do to bring the game over? I know for WoW, all I need to do is copy the files from mycomputer, local, program files and drag and drop them into there again after the upgrade. Is it the same with this game? Or do I have to reinstall and patch?

If you are running Windows 64bit OS, it can execute both 32/64bit applications.

You would move GW2 folder to C:\Program Files (x86) if you want the default location it would normally be. It doesn’t have to be there, it could be on another drive or whatever.

a 32bit app is always run via wow64 (Windows 32bit on Windows 64bit)

XP 32bit did something similar with dos/16 bit apps via NTVDM and its WoW subprocess.
