Anyone using Sound Blaster X-Fi MB2 and crashing in GW2?
It has been working fine the past 8 months. Yesterday’s patch (7/1/2013), seems to be causing issues with sound and game crashes.
Using -nosound command will play without crashing.
Took me forever to narrow it down. Reinstalled, delete local.dat, update drivers, check temps etc and what not only to boil down to sound issues.
Getting this error 5-6 times during tourney matches.

Do you have a similar sound card? It might be related to certain hardware now not functioning correctly with the game’s audio system. Kinda like how there is the Netgear router that kinda screws up Guild Wars 2 as well.
I have a Sound Blaster as well, but mine is from 2004…I have no problems with mine though and I can get its exact model name when I have access to it. It’s like ‘Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit’ or something.
