So far this has happened since release and I have been sending tickets towards it but seems I get 0 response.
I got:
Amd Phenom II x4 BE cpu
GTX 560ti
8gb of ddr3 ram
120gb ssd
500gb hard drive space.
note that this only happens in WvWvW and didn’t happen in PVE not even once.
Video evidence before the inevitable crash.

I’m getting the same thing. That pulsing sound or whatever it is becomes very loud whilst everything else is muted, then the game crashes.
i7 2600k @ 4.6Ghz
Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3
4GB Mushkin Redline
GTX580
Win7 Ultimate 64-bit

Corsair HX-750w
Asus Xonar Essence ST

Since this issue involves sound, maybe you should include your sound card info and what driver versions you’re using. And if it’s not a discrete sound card, you definitely need to say what motherboard and what built-in audio chipset it’s using.

I have the same problem.
I have 3 options to play my audio.
- Realtek ALC889 codec High Definition Audio 7.1-channel (omboard audio)
- My hdmi monitor
- My pci audio card
I disabled my pci card to test something. And now every time i play at some random point my audio gives this “pulsing” sound. Dont have a fix for everyone tho… My fix is that i switch back to my pci card audio.
Edit: This happends every time i play, any map, any type (pve/pvp), etc.

Do you have the same problem? Does it change when you change audio output device?

interestingly enough, mine doesn’t crash but the sound will keep looping infinitely and none of the games sound options change its volume, i have to go to windows volume control and mute it from there, and if i want my sound to return to normal I must restart the whole game. It happens mostly at the claw of jormac event or in WvW if there’s an overwhelming amount of stuff going on. It only happens when theres tons of things happening at once.
logitech g35 headset, I dont believe I have a descret sound card (I’m assuming it’s one that goes into a pci-e slot)
motherboard model: GA-M68MT-S2 (GIGABYTE manufacturer)

I used to get this as well, but it stopped after a new build a few weeks ago, thought it was fixed for everyone

There are several threads about this issue. It’s not hardware or driver related, it’s the game freaking out for some reason when a lot is happening on the screen at once. It happens across a range of sound cards, onboard and otherwise. The only solution is to not play wvwvw until it’s resolved. Kind of sucks.
