Still unable to download the client.
Did you turn of firewall in both windows and modem or router.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
Anything to do with firewalls have been turned off.
Download the latest drivers for your graphics. Your not giving too much info on whats going on so thats all i can suggest. Had the same this morning after i reinstalled. Realized i didnt have any drivers installed for my graphics card.

Could still be caused by no drivers for your graphics card. Or you could try installing it on a different harddrive.
I have the same problem .
Try uninstalling your firewall/internet security software. Norton is known to do this. I’m sure it’s just a configuration issue, but uninstalling it will probably resolve the issue.
Edited to add: Turning it off is not enough. It actually still functions despite being turned off.
Done that , but still don’t work
Both OP and robi,
Could you both post you system specs?
game worked perfectly without any problems . what you specifically want to know about system specifications?
Well I could not tell if you had been able to play.
But the game has been know to not even download if the requirements aren’t met. That’s why I asked for specs.

So…you had software conflicts (which is fairly common) but you blamed GW2 (also fairly common)…got it.
This is ONE reason that I often recommend disabling Start-up programs using MSCONFIG. In fact; ANY gaming machine should be setup this way, but TOO MANY people (evidently) seem to think that it isn’t important.
