Guild Wars 2

After a month or two away from the game, my fiancee and I decided to jump back into GW2. We had a few update files to download, all of which downloaded just fine until the last file. We both tried running GW2 as administrators, disabled the security and firewall programs on each of our computers (she has Norton, I have just the standard Windows security software), and I made sure that the firewall is disabled on our router. No luck. Any ideas?

Well, now I have an update. After leaving her client open for 30min, suddenly downloaded the file. I kept restarting my client to test a few different things, so maybe mine will start after I leave it open for a while.

As this just happened to me after having last played when Super Adventure Box was out, I came to the forum and found your post, then looked further in the sub-forum.

This was mentioned as possible “fix” for when this happens, but the Devs say to wait it out….
