Stuck in every loeading screen
Doesn’t work, anyway there are loads of ppl from WoW, SWTOR, Diablo 3 too.
IF it’s actuallya flood-accident that fked up nodes in north-italy, we couldnt actually do something, just wait till they try to fix.
But as I said that might be not the only problem related with this unplayability.
I think it’s the 100th time we explain this.
It’s not a connection problem.
It’s a SERVER problem.
Basically there are some servers here in Italy not working/working bad.
All servers sharing informations with those rotten servers are experiencing lag spikes, data loss and similar issues.
This is why also other games may be affected by the issue.
Anyway, fact is that it can probably be fixed by both sides ( game devs and providers) but since it’s not uncommon that providers’ employers have very little clue about what’s going on, i prefer to put my trust in game devs rather than providers.
or at least, this is the most probable thing. Of course no one is sure about what the issue really is, butthe issue is likely to be this one.

Anyway, i think it’s not an easy thing to do ( since it’s from both sides), so i think we should simply play/do something else, and log in from time to time, in order to see if something has changed.
There’s not really anything else we can do.
Just to say…
The problem is server side….
We can play in SOME areas without lag (mostly 40< example , BUT moving to other areas results in those problems)
Try to wait 5-10 minutes oin the login….you ll be able to play for few seconds b4 dc.
Move to snowden fields….
Its lagless there…and you can log in normally …..but if you move somewhere else (es gandarran fields) the problem happens again..
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

This is happening because, most probably, all maps in GW2 are located in different “virtual” servers, also connected with other servers.
That’s why “guy X” will be able to be in the Mists but not in Ashford plains, while “guy Y” will be able to be in Ashford plains but not in the Mists.
That’s why the issue is also kinda difficult to solve, i think…

i think with all this data is not that difficult…
If what u say is true then its a DNS problem……
Its not difficult as you think <.< despite it could require days…..
Last time i saw a similar thing was due to a network having to reregister part of his DNS in world naming servers and it took 2 to 3 days (worse scenario 1 week) having just few services unavailable
But at least knowing something would be good

This is definetely a problem with italian net (mostly fastweb but not only that) AND anet server. Issue here is having them work together…
Anyway guys: i received an email requesting to send them some data and i did. Did you do the same? The more data they have the faster the issue will be solved. And that’s the only thing we can do to help.
I’m having exactly the same problems that started (for me) yesterday night. I’m fastweb from Bologna (italy).
ANET: we are willing to send you any information you need about anything, just tell us what.
Also Fastweb near Rome, stuck in Cursed Shore loading screen !!
Had problems last evening also, this has been going on for sometime.

I’m having the same issue (fastweb, rome)
i can’t load Lion’s arch, i take something like 10 mins to load it then i get disconnected
so i basically have all of my chars stuck.

i think is not fastweb only, is the whole ISP’S in italy that ha problem in last 48hrs

South Italy … the game was playable for most of the morning, despite some sudden crash.
Around lunch time, GW2 has collapsed; I have my warrior prisoner of Gendarrian’s Fields.
I have Fastweb and I can browse without any problems, everything works except Guild Wars 2.
Please, try to solve the problem and keep us informed; i know many players stuck out.

I guess we can start considering changing our ISP then? Unless it’s a major network problem the provider won’t do kitten for the correct access to an online game…

Fastweb (Ovada AL) runs as usual…i can download stuff and play other games…and like last night being on skype with gw2 guildmates without communication lags but couldn’t play a dam crap in the game…..wtf

Got this problem too… Yesterday got lag, now just freeze at loading screen or disconnect me ingame…

This solves nothing, for several reasons:
1) My line Fastweb works, except with Guild Wars 2
2) Many users reveal problems with different operators.
3) How can I explain to a Fastweb telephone operator that I have problems logging in to an online game? Do you really think that they have a training that can help us?

4) This looks like a post you need to take time.
Not to mention that I have already contacted Fastweb, i don’t have anomaly on my line and, in any case, I requested a reset of my line, already made, to be sure.
I continue to be locked out of the game, despite this.
I don’t think taht this is the way to deal with users.
We need a solution; not the one you proposed.
Fastweb operator says that my connection is ok -.-

Experienced several crashes 10 minutes each, impossible to interact with npcs or w/e thing.
Worked fine till 5,30 pm (+1GMT) when i crashed and was totally unable to connect for like 20 minutes. Went worse slownly in time; now i cant’ do anything, stuck on ’’every loading screen" as this threads says
Furthermore since this is not a problem on user side but between providers and game connection it should be your job (of both ISP and ANet on mutual accord) to pinpoint the anomaly and fix it.
We users can’t do anything about and reporting to the ISP won’t do anything at all since everything else in the network seems to work fine except the game. They will just say the usual “reset your modem and check your cables” and all that stuff that won’t fix anything, and in the end they’ll just shrug it off and tell us that “it’s not their problem then”.
Since yesterday we don’t even know anything about the cause of this problem because no one who should can figure it out and it’s not even trying. This makes customers unhappy.
Agree, im thanking AshleySegovia to looking into this issue with his network engineers team.
But what Damaskinos said it’s sadly true.
I don’t know if the flood-accident is the principal problem involved in half-italy web infrastructures (used by Fastweb, Infostrada and others too) but :
- If there are others problem involved in this issue, we need to look more deeply inside this trying to fix or having an idea about it.
- If the flood-accident is the real problem, then we can’t do nothing at all, just wait till Italy infrastructures get fixed/repaired. Then we hope this will be fast since we’re not able to play at all.

Fastweb operators are worse than sh…. just like every dam call center operator here in italy, sometimes I end up explaining THEM how their stuff works…enough said, if we have to wait those fastweb, libero, infostrada fkrs to fix it…well good luck to every italian friend out here

Thank you for providing us with this information.
We have investigated the issue you and our other players have been experiencing, and we have determined that the issue appears to reside with your ISP. We reviewed the data extensively and have discovered a trend with all our customers suffering from a substantial amount of packet loss originating from the same location.
What this means is that unfortunately the issue is beyond our control to resolve.
I recommend you contact your ISP and provide them with the same information you did us so they may begin to investigate and hopefully resolve the issue on their end.
I apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience and I appreciate your patience as we looked into the issue.
