Anyone else stuck downloading the hotfix? I can’t seem to go past 1260kb.

I’ve tried opening and closing the program a few times, but no help there.

I am having the same issue. 16kB

I also have this same issue occurring except, I can’t seem to get past 12kb. Even tried restarting my laptop.

Same issue. Doesn’t matter if I restart the client or the computer.

Same. I restarted my computer and now it won’t go past 28kb.

I suspect this will resolve itself in a few hours when traffic dies down. Oh well, opportunity to play other games.

Same here. I got kicked out of the game and now when I try to start up again it sits at the launch window downloading about 1 KB every minute. This happened to me before, I think during the last Living Story update.

I also have the same issue. 0KB/sec. Tried to restart computer and internet and both did not work.

Same thing here. Stuck at 600 kb. Just gotta wait it out I guess. I was having so much fun, too.

Try manually authenticating.

Create a new shortcut to GW2.exe and add -authsrv 64.25.40.16 to it.

For example:
“C:\Program Files\ANet\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -authsrv 64.25.40.16

(or you can just type this into the run field on the windows start menu)

Did this, and no change. Still no connection.

Edited to add: My husband updated his game in like 30 seconds and is back to playing. But mine won’t update.

I had the same issues until i turned off my firewalls. Try doing that as it worked for me

I just did a malware scan and restarted. My game is working now.

I killed firewall, anti virus, restarted computer and router. No dice. I can’t even get the launcher to update. Scanned for everything, deleted temp files. All routine clean up work done. Still nothing.

Same issue, getting between 1 and 0 KB/sec at the client update for the last hour or so. System reboot didn’t help. Assuming ANet’s servers are getting hit hard and just aren’t up to the traffic.

Logged in about two hours ago and noticed the client patch was slow-ish then. Kicked when the next next fix came down, and now here I sit.

now im downloading slowly…but getting no connection errors. yet theres not a single percent showing up as downloaded, despite only 9 files to download?

Well.. its changed for me now.

Now every a min I get a burst of around 50kb downloaded, and then it stops.

Even though this is progress… this seems way worse of a tease then seeing a non-downloading bar.

Mine finally got a move on and slowly downloaded the launcher update, and then finally some files. It’s not done yet, still needs 10 files (15%). It’s as slow as molasses in January, but at least it’s doing something.

Made it upwards of around 6000KB downloaded in bursts of 50 at a time / 10 minutes. Then Error pops connection failure. Restart the process woohoo , Loving this -.- My Wife is sitting right next to me playing while I browse forums.

i think the problem is in their network end and NOT @ our end because some people cant even repair the client with the -repair line argument
