I have two 460 gpu’s and regardless of whether I run one card or both cards there is no noticeable difference in FPS. Some people are saying they are seeing a difference and other’s are saying there is none. For those who notice a difference are you doing anything in particular for the performance increase?

You are going to experience the same lows no matter what. For example, in WvW if you are getting 20 FPS you are going to get the same FPS with one or two GPUs enabled. This is because at that point your CPU is a bottleneck. There are a lot of moments like this in the game so unfortunately you are not likely to see the benefit of SLI (especially if you are using a frame-rate limit).

A nice, stable CPU overclock can help a bit. Though you mileage will vary. I have an i5-200k @ 4.7GHZ and my frame-rate goes to hell in heavy players moments no matter what.

That’s just wrong. Sli is working very well (for me anyway). Disable SLi & my FPS plummet to almost HALF.

Your going to need a strong i5/i7 to feed the two. What is your processor?

Running a I7 920 and way more ram than I need. I did some tweaking in the SLI profile but not really seeing much difference. My cards rarely go over 50% usage each.

I’ve never really fooled around with OC’ing my CPU but if that’s what it takes to get a steady 60fps then I guess I’ll have to look into it.

Don’t waste your time waiting for new drivers, the current ones work fine & have done since GW2 was released. If you want better Sli performance you’ll either have to overclock that 920 (highly recommended) or upgrade.

I doubt you’ll get solid 60fps everywhere with those Gpu’s, but O’cing will definitely help in a massive way. Try it & find out, nothing to loose & FPS to gain!

@Cbuzz
i5-2500k running at 4.7-4.9GHZ. I’ve tested extensively with my OC multiplier and it doesn’t really matter past 4.5GHZ.

Like I said in, WvW you are going to get 35FPS max no matter what you gpu configuration is. There is no getting around that CPU bottleneck. Even though your CPU is insanely powerful it’s not really going to matter in those situations weather you have SLI enabled or not.

Are you speaking just for your system or EVERY system? Very rarely does mine drop below 50 even in decent sized battles.

Quality/size reduced for internet. Running 2560×1600 res & Sli usage is ALWAYS >80%.
